Lisa Hartman Black is no longer a young girl; she just celebrated her 67th birthday. She has been happily married to Clint Black for 31 years, and they have a daughter together.
The actress and singer chose to step back from the Hollywood spotlight to enjoy a peaceful life with her husband and daughter. In 2022, she shared a video of the three of them walking together to promote a special television show.
Lisa turned 67 on June 1, 2023. Her daughter, Lily Pearl Black, was the first to wish her a happy birthday, posting lovely photos of her mom on Instagram.
Lily Pearl Black thanked her mom for being a wonderful role model and a true friend. She also expressed her hope to be like her when she grows up.
In her Instagram post, she included a photo from 2021 of the mother-daughter duo smiling together. Fans loved the picture, commenting on how Lisa seems to have not aged at all!
Lily has grown up seeing her parents’ strong and loving relationship. Lisa and Clint met on New Year’s Eve in 1990, backstage at one of his concerts. When they first locked eyes, they felt as if time had slowed down. Clint didn’t even know who Lisa was, but just looking into her eyes was enough for him.
The couple toured together in 2021 after many years of marriage, and fans loved how in love they appeared. They showed that a strong marriage can truly last a lifetime!
When asked how they’ve stayed in love over the years, Clint said, “Love is something that you nurture and protect. We’ve grown together in our relationship and never apart.”
He mentioned how Lisa has been a huge influence in his life, and that any love song he wrote after they met was inspired by her. The couple even released a few duets together, showcasing their musical chemistry.
When Lisa met Clint, she decided to pause her own music career. She felt she had accomplished what she wanted in music and believed Clint’s career was more important, so she focused on supporting him.
However, Clint wanted Lisa to sing with him. He encouraged her to come into the studio to record a duet. They ended up singing “When I Said I Do.” Clint said, “I said, ‘Sing this with me,’ because she would harmonize with me while I cooked in the kitchen. After two days of singing together, I told her, ‘You need to record this with me.’”
At first, Lisa hesitated and suggested he find a real singer. When he asked why she was nervous, she admitted it felt like a big deal to her.
Clint convinced Lisa that if she didn’t record the song with him, she might regret it, especially if he found someone else to sing it.
Their daughter, Lily, also showed interest in singing. When they heard her, they realized she had a talent worth nurturing.
Now, the couple has taken their show called “Mostly Hits & The Mrs.” on the road, making it a family affair with Lily joining them.
