Biden forgot for a moment where and how he lost his son
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, who will turn 80 on November 20, once again made an unintentional mistake during a public speech in Florida.
At the event, the head of state was commenting on inflation, when at one point he confused the war in Ukraine with the war in Iraq.
Inflation is a world problem because of the war in Iraq and its impact on oil and what Russia is doing, he pointed out.
Realizing his inaccuracy, Biden hastened to justify himself, saying that he had lost his son in Iraq. However, this turned out to be an even bigger mistake, as his son, Beau Biden, died in 2015, not in Iraq, but in a Maryland hospital as a result of a brain tumor at the age of 46.
Subsequently, Biden, picking up the topic of the cost of drugs in the United States, explained that his son actually died in a hospital in the country, not as a soldier in Iraq.
President @JoeBiden incorrectly said his late son Beau "lost his life in Iraq." https://t.co/oZ9GRyRjcI pic.twitter.com/8OvjbQgUaT
