Biden successfully underwent a procedure to remove skin cancer

The American president will continue to be under dermatological supervision

US President Joe Biden’s biopsy performed in February of this year confirmed that he had basal cell carcinoma and all affected skin tissue was successfully removed, Reuters and TASS reported.

The agencies refer to an official statement by White House physician Kevin O’Connor.

Biden will continue to be under dermatological surveillance as part of routine health monitoring, but the biopsy site has healed and does not require further treatment, his doctor said.

Last month, doctors concluded that Biden, 80, was in good health and able to carry out his duties following a routine presidential medical examination.
