Biden will talk to Putin about peace in Ukraine if the Kremlin really wants peace
The conditions are not yet in place for talks between US President Joe Biden and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, said John Kirby, the White House’s strategic communications coordinator. “The president (Biden) talked about it. He said that if Vladimir Putin is sincere and committed to a real peace conversation, he will consider that possibility. There is no change in that,” Kirby said at a news conference.
We remind you that so far all signals for peace negotiations from Russia come with the condition of “recognizing the new realities”, i.e. the illegally occupied Ukrainian lands by the Russians to be recognized as Russian.
Meanwhile, two US citizens were detained in Kansas City on charges of transferring aviation technology to Russia, Reuters reported. The source of the news is a spokesperson for the US Department of Commerce.
