Trump has promised a missile shield if elected president
Former United States President Donald Trump said on Friday he would help create a shield to protect against hypersonic missiles carrying nuclear weapons if re-elected.
Trump announced plans to work with Congress and “great military leaders” to build a “state-of-the-art, next-generation missile defense shield” comparable to Israel’s Iron Dome.
Explaining that a possible World War III would make the previous two seem like “very small battles,” the former president warned that “the adversaries must understand that they, not the United States, will be totally destroyed” if they launch hypersonic missiles against the USA.
