“Apple” paid a $12 million fine for abuse of a dominant position in the market
The technology giant Apple has paid an antitrust fine in the case with “Kaspersky Laboratory” for abuse of a dominant position in the market of mobile applications in the amount of 12 million dollars, a source familiar with the case told reporters. He specified that the company could face doubling the fine if it is not paid on time.
Apple has abused its dominant position in the iOS app market on two fronts – hindering app developers for parental controls and opaque rules for allowing third-party apps into the App Store.
