Facebook and Instagram with a big change, introduce a subscription
This is about verifying official profiles
Users of the social platforms Facebook and Instagram will be able to pay for verification of their profiles, FOX News reported.
The innovation is expected to be available in Australia and New Zealand from this week. The founder of the company that manages the platforms, Mark Zuckerberg, announced that the innovation will improve the authenticity of the applications.
It turns out that users pay about twelve dollars for the verification. The decision comes after Elon Musk introduced a similar innovation on Twitter.
The service itself is currently not available for businesses. However, any natural person has access to it.
The idea is to use the verification for increased visibility of the publications and easy access to customer service. Other country rollout dates are expected.
Studies are being conducted.
