Barack Obama wins Emmy

Former US President Barack Obama has been honored with an Emmy Award for his work as the narrator of the Netflix documentary series Our Great National Parks. This was announced last night by the American Television Academy, AFP reported. The Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on September 13, but winners in some of the smaller categories are announced in advance. Another US president – Dwight D. Eisenhower 1956 – received an Emmy, but in his case the award was honorary. After leaving the White House in 2017, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, published a best-selling memoir. In addition to a non-governmental organization, they also founded a company that signed a contract with Netflix for tens of millions of dollars, AFP recalled.
