The US imposes sanctions on four Iranian companies that supplied drones to Russia

The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on four Iranian companies and one individual involved in the production and supply of unmanned aerial vehicles to Russia. The list of sanctioned companies includes Safiran Airport Services, Paravar Pars, Design, and Manufacturing of Aircraft Engines, and Baharestan Kish Company.

A publication by “The Washington Post” claims that Russia received the Iranian drones on August 30, which it will use in special operations in Ukraine. According to the publication, Moscow received at least two types of unmanned aerial vehicles – Mohajer-6 and Shahid. They are designed for firing at radar systems, artillery, and other military targets. The US claims that the first tests of these drones were unsuccessful, but Russia expects to receive hundreds more such devices.
