Two planes collided in the US
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash
Two World War II-era planes collided mid-air at an air show in Dallas on Saturday, authorities said, turning the Veterans Day weekend commemoration into a scene of horror.
It is not clear how many people were on board when the planes – a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and a Bell P-63 King Cobra – crashed around 1:20 p.m. local time, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
Videos posted online show a fast small plane crashing into a larger plane in mid-air as horrified onlookers watch.
The Boeing B-17 can carry a crew of 10 or 11, while the Bell P-63 is a single-seat fighter.
I was at the Wings Over Dallas airshow and I Whitened the accident, if you have any questions feel free to ask. The two airplanes involved were a P-63 and a B-17. May God be with those involved. pic.twitter.com/ccnpUIvlhk
