The Russian Ministry of Defense has confirmed reports of a serious incident at a training ground in the Belgorod region, which have been circulating on the Internet for the past hour, RIA Novosti reported.
According to various reports, some of the soldiers there opened fire on others, there were dead and wounded.
The Ministry of Defense claims that about two CIS citizens opened fire on “volunteers” who were preparing to be sent to the front.
As a result, 11 people were killed and 15 were injured. The Ministry of Defense said both gunmen were killed.
The shooting was reported by several Russian sources in the last hour. The death toll ranged from 10 to 22 people before the official announcement from authorities.
