European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen could face a no-confidence vote, the Guardian said.
This may be due to her decision to allow the launch of Poland’s European Sustainability Plan.
The proposal came from three Liberal representatives. They are part of the Renew Europe group.
These are Sophie in Veld, Luis Garricano and Guy Verhofstadt. They demand that von der Leyen follow the rules for the allocation of European funds, depending on the application of the rule of law in each country.
They insist that signals for change in Poland are insufficient. Leading European leaders have opposed the approval of the country’s plan.
There is a discussion ahead on whether a vote should be taken to change the European leadership.
