Macron: The West will not leave Ukraine without fighter jets and tanks
There is such an agreement, the French president explained
Western countries have agreed not to provide Ukraine with certain weapons, in particular fighter jets and tanks, Ukrinform reported, citing French President Emmanuel Macron during a visit to Kyiv yesterday.
“We are talking about an informal agreement, but the almost official position of NATO partners is that we are helping Ukraine defend itself, but we are not at war with Russia,” he told Ukrainian journalists, quoted by BGNES.
According to the French leader, Kyiv is aware of these agreements.
Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi arrived in Ukraine on Thursday to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky.
