Thousands protested in London calling for re-joining the EU

Thousands of protesters marched through central London calling for the UK to rejoin the EU, the Guardian writes.

The National Accession March drew large crowds of people who walked from Park Lane to Parliament Square. Demonstrators from across the UK traveled for hours to attend.

Square Garden, the march’s final stop, saw a sea of blue and yellow as supporters waved EU flags and carried placards. Some placards read: “Brexit would never work”, “For lower bills” and “return to the EU”.

The crowd booed wildly as a large digital screen overlooking Parliament Square Garden flashed pictures of Leave voters such as Johnson, Priti Patel, and Nigel Farage.

According to the demonstrators, Brexit is the slow death that has been bleeding the United Kingdom for years.
