Turkey suspends service of Russian and Belarusian aircraft
Turkey’s Ministry of Customs and Trade has announced that it is suspending fueling and maintenance services for aircraft from Russia and Belarus that are manufactured in the United States. The ban affected the operations of seven Russian, one Belarusian, and one Iranian air carrier. This is reported by the AirportHaber portal. “As of March 14, the provision of various services to US-made aircraft that are under Russian-Belarusian control has been suspended. For private, cargo, commercial, and charter aircraft, refueling and other services are prohibited,” the portal said, as quoted by URA.ru.
According to the publication, refueling, and maintenance are also suspended if the planes are manufactured in another country and contain more than 25% raw materials of American origin, provided that they have flights to Russia and Belarus.
