Twitter stops layoffs and starts hiring
Twitter will have no more job cuts and is moving to recruit, the company's CEO Elon Musk said, The Verge reports.
In an all-staff meeting, Musk encouraged staff to make references, noting that the social media platform is looking to fill engineering and sales jobs.
The news comes just hours after The Wall Street Journal reported last night that the billionaire plans to further cut Twitter’s sales force.
From Actualno.com we recall that earlier this month the company’s new CEO revealed plans to cut staff at the social media giant, claiming that the platform was losing $4 million a day and that such a cutback step was “necessary to move the company forward”.
US media reported in the past week that hundreds of employees are leaving Twitter in November following an ultimatum from Elon Musk that the company’s staff must commit to “long hours of high-intensity work” to support his vision for Twitter 2.0. or otherwise leave.
